Lomba ini bertujuan untuk mengajak siswa SMA\/Sederajat, mahasiswa, dan masyarakat umum agar aktif terlibat dalam memberikan informasi dan edukasi penanganan limbah sisa makanan melalui infografis yang informatif, kreatif, dan inovatif sehingga mampu menarik dan memotivasi pembacanya.
